DESCRIPTION:
F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Indian Hunter V.P.", 8 day, time and strike spring brass movement metal front mantel clock. This a Nicholas Muller case No. 181 and is stamped on the case. The statue is copied from the original by John Quincy Adams Ward, a famous American sculptor, which was completed in 1886 and stands in Central Park, New York. Herman Muller, son of Nicholas and brother-in-law of Kroeber, was granted a patent for this case design in 1880, seven years after his father's death.
CONDITION:
Cast spelter front case has some scattered surface wear. Statue has some minor surface abrasion. Original paper dial is soiled with wear and abrasions. Original hands and pendulum. Nice label on the back of the case.
